Temperatures in the Gulf of Mexico remain on the cool side for this time of year, keeping dew points down. Jym Ganahl has mentioned so far, 2010 is the fourth quietest tornado season ever (thanks Snowman!). Our friend Henry Margusity from Accuweather.com has been saying he does not expect the severe weather season to ramp up until May and has indicated the severe weather will be East of KS, OK, and TX. This would put severe weather further East than normal, into parts of AR, MS, MO, TN, KY, and most of IL and IN. Henry had mentioned he is working on an article about this season's severe weather, so I will hold off further comment until then. Well, just one :). He WAS right about predicting the snow storm tracks this past Winter!
Today there is an article on ONN.com about Severe Weather Awareness Week: Ohio's Last F5 Tornado .Follow the link for the complete story. The story also includes links to stories for two other tornadoes.
Attended Spotter training this past weekend and it was informative. AJ Smith from 10tv was there and I even heard the Weathermania crew was on television! There is an Advanced Spotter Training class being offered in Cincinnati on April 10. I think we are going to wait until next year to attend this class.
Well, that's all for now Weathermainiacs!
